Hexagon Magic

The following is basically a re-blog from Stampin’Up’s website, I liked it so much that I just had to share it with the rest of you!

Ashley, an Associate Product Specialist from Stampin’Up showed us an out-of-the-box way to utilize a few of our products. While driving home with her sister they spotted a yucky, old side table on the side of the road that was about to be discarded. They took it home, sanded it, and gave it some paint. This is what it looked like after the elbow grease.

She knew she wanted to deck this table out, and also knew that our Afternoon Picnic Designer Series Paper would look amazing on the tabletop. (Note: this Designer Series Paper is going away soon, so if you love it as much as she does, you might want to stock up!) she also knew that she wanted to mimic the shape of the table, so she opted to use our Hexagon Punch.

Then came the easy part, she simply adhered the Designer Series Paper hexagons using Mod Podge. Here is what it the tabletop looked like as it began to take shape:

After she finished covering the tabletop with a million hexagons (there were A LOT of hexagons!), she applied a thin coat of polyurethane and let it dry. Voilà! her sister now owns a super-cute tabletop done Stampin’ Up! style. Here is a close-up:
