Happy National Dog Day!

Today, August 26th is National Dog Day and as a Dog Lover, I want to wish my 2 family members a Happy Day!

Copperbelle, aka Copper is 17 years old which makes her 91 in human years. We rescued her from a shelter when she was 3 years old. She’s showing her age but is as healthy as can be!

Here is Copperbelle around 2 years after she joined our family, she was so regal looking! Oh, and that’s my son Jared when he was younger too.

This is Marley, he is 12 years old which makes him 69 years old in human years. He’s very smart and inquisitive as you can see he’s looking at the latest annual catalog and making a list! My daughter Nicole rescued him when he was almost 3, her latest move prevented her from taking him along so we inherited our grand-dog!

Did you ever wonder how to calculate Dog years to Human years?

I always thought it was 7 dog years to 1 human year but that’s not correct. It all depends on the size of the dog. Take a look at the chart below, you might be surprised.
