Motivation – What or Who Does It Take?

What is Motivation?

According to Wikipedia…

Motivation is a reason for actions, willingness, and goals. Motivation is derived from the word motive or a need that requires satisfaction. These needs, wants or desires may be acquired through the influence of culture, society, lifestyle, or may be generally innate. An individual’s motivation may be inspired by outside forces (extrinsic motivation)  or by themselves (intrinsic motivation).  Motivation has been considered one of the most important reasons to move forward.  Motivation results from the interaction of both conscious and unconscious factors.

For me, there is one person who is constantly motivating me, my husband Darren. When I stay up all night stamping and prepping for a class he’ll come upstairs with a snack or something to drink. When I ask him to help with die-cutting or embossing he’s always willing to help.

As you can see from the previous photo, he’s busy die-cutting cardstock for my class. It’s 3:00 AM and he’s up with me. It helps that’s he’s retired and can stay up to do this for me. Even before he retired he would help on weekends. I usually do all the prepping myself but I know whenever I need a helping hand I have it!

He is my motivation, he inspires me to do what makes me happy. I know I am very blessed to have this man by my side.

My wish is for everyone to have something or someone to motivate them to do what makes them happy! Take care and have a creative day!!
