Last Saturday we had another successful Oviedo Mall Stampers event! Over 25 happy stampers attended and made 4 great cards. My friend Debra LaFountaine and I prepared two cards each and below is one of my cards.
This one I cased from Leena Girsa, I loved the layout and changed a few things to make it my own. The best thing about this birthday card is that it can be given to both male or females.
That’s right, today is the last day to place your order and pay Nothing, Nada, Zero, Zilch for shipping. That’s a 10% discount! Place your before midnight tonight through my online store or contact me and I will place the order for you.
I love the Stampin’Up! Photopolymer stamp sets because of the ease of use and their quality but this one is a riot!
Sometimes it’s easier to show someone how wonderful they are versus just telling them. The sentiments in the Simply Wonderful Stamp Set-phrases like “Thanks so very much” and “You’re the best”-offer many opportunities to show your appreciation, love, admiration, and general regard for anyone in your life. Added bonus: the stamp set coordinates with the Decorative Label and Extra-Large Oval Punches, just to name a few! Artwork by Mary Fish and Stampin’ Up!

This past Saturday, October 4th was World Card Making Day and I spent the day with six lovely ladies and a younger one too! We had fun, ate some and made some cards!
Here I am trying to explain how to make the cards, ink anyone? It seems to have been very humid in my stamp room, or at least my hair thought so!
My upcoming class on October 11th is my Technique Class in which I am teaching the Reflection Technique but these ladies convinced me to give the class twice and here are the cards. The above card was from Stamping School. This last card was not a reflection card but I saw this card made by Brandy and decided to give it a try. Did you know that this is a Hybrid card? The flowers were created on My Digital studio (MDS) then punched and adhered to the card base.
We all had a great time! I hope you got to create something on World Card Making Day.
Last week was my older sister’s birthday and I made this cute card for her, the problem is I have yet to give it to her. I met with her, family and friends for dinner but left the card behind! I’m a step closer though, it is now in my purse and I am sure to see her this weekend. I guess you will all see her card before she gets it.
Here’s a close up of the martini glass, isn’t this much better than a cake? Below are the products I used for this card. You can hover over them and click for additional product information.

Yesterday was the first class featuring holiday cards. These cards were made using ideas directly from Stamping School. I had 10 happy stampers making these beautiful cards, I was so busy I forgot to take pictures of the group!
Click on the cards for a closer view and on the stamp set or embellishments for additional information.
You really can’t tell in the picture but the 1st, 3rd & 5th trees were punched out and the Designer Series Paper is showing through. The 2nd & 4th trees were stamped, punched out and popped up. We also added some embellishments with Frosted Sequins, Rhinestones and Pearls.
For this card we blended the colors, first we inked up the stamp with Crushed Curry then used Sponge Daubers to add Blackberry Bliss and Old Olive ink to the stamp before stamping on to Whisper White Card Stock. We added a couple of embellishments to complete the look.
Sometimes you like part of a stamp but you wish it had a different sentiment, problem solved! For this card we changed the whole sentiment of the stamp by covering the middle with another stamp set. We also used the Blendabilities Markers Cherry Cobbler Assortment to color the Rhinestones for the perfect color match!
I hope you love these cards as much as the ladies in my class did. If you’re local come to one of my classes and you can make lovely cards just like this! Just click on the “RSVP” link on the right side of this blog.
