My husband Darren made it to his sister’s house in Gilbert, Arizona yesterday. He left home on Sunday and it took him 2 days to drive 2,141 miles in his 17-year-old car! That’s right, he has a 2002 Ford Escape XLT. I thought it would be a good idea for him to rent a car to make this long trip but he insisted on taking his car. He had it serviced and let them know he was planning to make the trip and was assured that the car will make it. I guess that’s what you get when you routinely get your car serviced for regular maintenance, how knew?
This is his first stop on his way to California, he’s spending a few days with his sister and her family before heading on. Then he’ll spend a few days with his brother in California and attend his 40th High School Reunion. This is a much-needed alone time vacation, I glad he’s finally doing it.
And now to some crafting news…
