Two Techniques Using Punches

I’m always in the search for new ways to use stamps, punches and what not. Recently I learned a new punch technique from Brenda Quintana at Qbeesquest.BlogSpot. Basically by using the Tree Punch you can position some of the punches to form a larger tree. I used Crumb Cake and Whisper White card stock for my card bases. I wanted an earthy look and I also wanted the colors to pop! Before placing the punches on the card base I embossed the pieces with the Chevron Embossing folder. Here are my card samples. Using the same Tree Punch I used another technique I learned a while back. You simply punch out 3 trees, fold them in half and then glue them together by the sides to form this 3-D punch art. Again, I used Crumb Cake card stock for the earthy look and Whisper White to make things pop! For the tree backdrop I used a 2-1/2″ circle punch on Cherry Cobbler card stock and then embossed with the Lucky Stars Embossing folder. The top of the card was punched with the Confetti Stars punch. I used the Star Punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack for the topper. Comment below if you would like a detailed list of products and instructions.
