Do you have some old Designer Series Paper from last Christmas and need ideas on what to do with it? My dear friend (one of my BFFs) and customer Michele Weaver came up with this idea for an Advent Treat Bag Hanger. I just love it so much I had to share!
Besides the retired Designer Series Paper she used the following current products.
Framelits & Thinlits
If you don’t have old Christmas Designer Series Paper hanging around, don’t fret because there are plenty current ones available.

I made this quick and easy Pine Bough Glitter card using two products from the 2016 Holiday Catalog. To make it glitter I used Gold Wink of Stella, take a look at the video below to see how it’s done.
Card Stock used:
– Basic Black for the card base 5-1/2 x 5-1/2, scored at 4-1/4
– Whisper White, 2 pieces cut at 5-1/4 x 4

The textured designs on this paper appear like magic when you add ink. Stamp, sponge, brayer, or mask it and beautiful designs appear. Or use it alone for elegant, touchable texture. Watch to see what you can do.
This process can definitely get ink on your fingers but never fear, just wash with soap and water and it’s gone. Ok, it might take a couple of tries for the darker colors but it will come out.
This is a longer post than usual but there’s so much to share!

I was asked to have a Christmas in July Stamp-A-Stack so that my stampers could start their Christmas Cards early in the year. With the new Thoughtful Branches stamp set available only during the month of August I figured I could use this one. I was inspired by a card from Shawn de Olivera’s at ShawnStamps.com.
I loved the layout and the use of the stamp set but I wanted to change it around a little so here’s my version that was used for the Stamp-A-Stack.
Instead of using Designer Series Paper I chose to stamp a piece of Very Vanilla card stock with one of the stamps from the Thoughtful Branches set and use that as my background. I changed the embossed piece and bird to Tempting Turquoise. Added Burlap Ribbon and Linen Thread, then changed the greeting.
I hope you like my version of this card as much as I do. Tomorrow I will post the second card we made at our Christmas in July Stamp-A-Stack.
There are still a few more days left of Bonus Days so don’t miss out on earning Bonus Coupons to use in August. Earn enough to help you get the Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set which is only available during the month of August.
As a Stampin’Up! demonstrator I get to pre-order from the Holiday Catalog one month before it becomes available to the public. I received my box today and it almost got mauled by my daughter’s dog! Thankfully he chose to chew on the wooded piece of blind instead!
Love to see all the products when I open the box!
It’s always like Christmas when I receive products from a new catalog!
