Holiday Cards… the Beginning!

Yesterday was the first class featuring holiday cards. These cards were made using ideas directly from Stamping School. I had 10 happy stampers making these beautiful cards, I was so busy I forgot to take pictures of the group!

Click on the cards for a closer view and on the stamp set or embellishments for additional information.

You really can’t tell in the picture but the 1st, 3rd & 5th trees were punched out and the Designer Series Paper is showing through. The 2nd & 4th trees were stamped, punched out and popped up. We also added some embellishments with Frosted Sequins, Rhinestones and Pearls.

For this card we blended the colors, first we inked up the stamp with Crushed Curry then used Sponge Daubers to add Blackberry Bliss and Old Olive ink to the stamp before stamping on to Whisper White Card Stock. We added a couple of embellishments to complete the look.

Sometimes you like part of a stamp but you wish it had a different sentiment, problem solved!  For this card we changed the whole sentiment of the stamp by covering the middle with another stamp set. We also used the Blendabilities Markers Cherry Cobbler Assortment to color the Rhinestones for the perfect color match!
